General questions

How long does Local SEO take to work?
Local SEO timelines vary depending on your website, competition, location, current visibility, and the work required. We focus on identifying practical improvements and monitoring progress rather than promising a fixed ranking date.
Why is my website not ranking on Google?
There can be several reasons, including technical issues, weak or unclear service pages, competition, or a mismatch between your content and what customers are searching for. A review helps investigate which factors may be relevant to your website.
Why am I not getting enough calls from my website?
Possible factors include limited search visibility, unclear service information, a confusing visitor experience, or problems with contact options. We can investigate these areas, but the findings depend on your website and the available data.
Do you work with different home-service industries?
Yes. Our positioning covers businesses across home-service industries, including HVAC, roofing, plumbing, electrical, pest control, and contracting. The recommended approach depends on each business's needs and market.
Is your SEO audit fully automated?
No. Our approach combines hands-on analysis with SEO tools. Tools help gather useful information, while manual review helps us interpret the findings and identify relevant priorities.
Is the introductory audit free?
The introductory audit is offered free for a limited time. Its scope may differ from the full paid audit. We will explain the applicable terms and deliverables before proceeding.
Do you guarantee first-page rankings or more leads?
No. Search rankings and enquiries depend on multiple factors, including competition, market demand, website quality, and implementation. We provide evidence-based recommendations rather than guaranteed rankings or lead volumes.
Can you implement the recommendations?
We can discuss implementation support for Local SEO, website development, redesign, and suitable automation projects. You can also use the recommendations independently.
Do I need to sign a long-term SEO contract?
The terms depend on the service you choose. We will explain the scope, pricing, and applicable commitment before you decide to proceed.

Local SEO Services

What are local SEO services for home service businesses?
They help your company show up on Google Search and Google Maps when nearby homeowners look for your trade. They usually include Google Business Profile optimization, keyword research, service and city pages, review requests, business listings, and tracking of the calls that result.
How long does local SEO take to work?
Most home service companies start to see movement after about three to six months. Competitive cities and trades can take longer. We start with the fixes that can help fastest and report on calls so you can see progress.
Do I need local SEO if I already have a website?
Yes. A website alone does not put you on the map. Many homeowners choose from Google Maps before they open a website. Local SEO connects your site, your Google profile, your reviews and your listings.
Can you help me rank in more than one city?
Yes, with limits. Google tells service-area businesses to keep one profile and a service area within about two hours of driving from where they are based, and distance affects who appears on the map. We build a page for each town you really serve. See service and city pages.
Do you guarantee first-page or number-one rankings?
No, and be careful with anyone who does. Google decides rankings and says you cannot pay for a better one. What we promise is the work: we do what we agreed, explain it, and report the results.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. Plans are month-to-month, and you can cancel with 15 days' notice.
I already have an SEO company. Can you still help?
Yes. Start with the free audit. We will tell you honestly what is working, what is not, and whether you need us at all.
I am in a small town. Will local SEO still work?
Yes. Fewer competing companies often makes it easier to show up, and a smaller town usually needs fewer pages. That is why the Starter plan exists.
Will this work for my trade?
We work with HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, pest control, garage door, landscaping, and general contractor and remodeler companies, and other home service trades. If your trade is not listed, ask us in the free audit.

Google Business Profile Optimization

How long until I see results?
Changes to your details can take effect within weeks. Climbing on the map takes longer, often three to six months, and depends on your town and competitors. No one can promise a position.
Can I pay Google for a better ranking?
No. Google says there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking.
Will you change my business name?
No. Your name must match your real-world name. Adding keywords or cities can get your profile suspended.
Do I need a storefront?
No. If you travel to customers, you can have one service-area profile and hide your address.
Do I stay the owner of my profile?
Yes. You add us as a manager and can remove us at any time.

Google Maps SEO

How long does it take to rank in the map pack?
Most home service companies start to see movement after about three to six months. Competitive towns take longer.
Can you guarantee a top 3 spot?
No. Google decides, and says you cannot pay for a better ranking. We promise the work and report the results.
Why do I rank in one part of town but not another?
Distance. Google considers how far the business is from the person searching, so your position changes block by block.
Do I need an office to rank?
No. A service-area business can rank, with one profile and the address hidden. Distance still affects who shows first.
Do reviews really matter?
Yes. Google says review count and rating factor into local ranking, and they help homeowners choose.

Local On-Page SEO and Service Area Pages

How many city pages do I need?
Only for towns you serve and can back up with real work. A few strong pages beat many thin ones.
Will copied city pages get me penalized?
Pages that are mass-produced with only the town changed can be treated as thin or spammy content. We write each one from scratch.
What is the difference between a service page and a city page?
A service page covers one job. A city page covers that job in one town. You need both.
Do I need a blog?
Not first. Service and city pages usually bring more calls sooner. A blog can help later.
Will you rebuild my website?
Usually not. We improve what you have first, and tell you if a rebuild would help.

Review Generation

Can I offer a discount for a review?
No. Google does not allow payment, discounts or free goods or services in exchange for a review. It can remove the reviews and restrict your profile.
Can I ask only my happy customers?
No. Google does not allow selectively asking for positive reviews. We ask every customer.
How many reviews do I need?
There is no magic number. What helps is a steady flow of recent, genuine reviews, and enough to compare well with the top businesses near you.
What about a bad review?
We draft a calm, professional reply. A good reply shows homeowners how you treat people.
Will it work with the software I use to schedule jobs?
Tell us what you use after you send the form, and we will tell you how it connects.

Local Citations

How many citations do I need?
There is no magic number. A few dozen accurate listings on the sites that matter is a better target than hundreds on sites nobody uses.
Do citations help me rank?
Google says it uses information from across the web, including directories, to judge how well-known a business is. Accurate listings support that, along with reviews and links.
I hide my home address. Will you publish it?
No. We set up your listings the way a service-area business should, without publishing your home address where the site allows a service area instead.
Is a citation the same as a backlink?
No. A citation lists your name, address and phone number. A backlink is a link to your website. See local link building.

Technical SEO

Do I need a new website?
Usually not. We fix what you have first, and tell you if a rebuild would help.
How do I know if Google can find my pages?
The free website review checks this for you, and tells you which pages are missing.
Will fixing my site help me rank?
It removes what stops you from ranking. It works best together with a complete Google Business Profile, reviews and clear service pages.
Will you break my site?
We list every change first, and we agree with you before we make it.

Reporting and Call Tracking

What does call tracking cost?
It is included in every plan. On its own it starts at $49 a month.
Will tracking numbers confuse Google?
Not when they are set up carefully. We keep your real business details consistent on your Google profile and listings, and use tracking numbers where they will not cause mismatches.
Can I see the calls myself?
We send you a report every month with your calls and leads. There is no separate dashboard to log in to.
Do you track calls from my Google profile?
We report the calls, directions and clicks that Google shows for your profile.
Can you tell which calls were real jobs?
With your help. You tell us which calls turned into jobs, and we aim the work at the ones that did.

Free Local SEO Audit

Is the audit really free?
Yes. There is no cost and no card needed.
Do I have to buy anything?
No. The findings are yours whether you hire us or not.
How long does it take?
You get the findings within 24 hours of sending the form, on business days.

Your business name, website, trade and the city you serve. That is enough to start.
Is it an automated report?
No. A person reviews your business.

Free Google Business Profile Audit

Is the audit really free?
Yes. There is no cost and no card needed.
Do you need access to my profile?
No. We use your public profile for the audit. We only ask for manager access if you hire us.
How is this different from an instant audit tool?
A tool gives a score. A person tells you what matters for your business and what to fix first.
Will you contact me after?
We send your findings by email first. If we do not hear back, we may call you once to check that you received them.

Pricing

No. Google decides rankings. We promise the work and report on the calls.
